GENESIS FOUNDATION
Where Science and Scripture Meet!!

Genesis Foundation Background

IN PAST YEARS ... the lives of people were influenced by learned men who opened a Bible for their source of truth. Today our lives seem to be led by well-known personalities who articulate personal philosophies as though it were established fact. Sadly, millions of people equate these materialistic ideas with the truths of science. The result is that philosophy is used to humanize and rationalize a Bible whose content modern knowledge and science literally vindicate.

GENESIS FOUNDATION ... was established to show that the Bible is trustworthy from a scientific perspective. The Foundation intends to advance Christianity through modern knowledge, and shares common religious bonds and convictions with others who affirm and practice the historical Christian faith, regardless of denomination.

The Foundation is governed by an Operating Board of dedicated Christians and was established through guidance by an Advisory Board by prominent leaders of national organizations.

Genesis Foundation was formed in February, 1981 by an all volunteer staff. Before that time, speaking engagements were the only means of outreach. This began as talks to CBMC groups and then expanded to lectures on various university campuses (Princeton, Rutgers, Brown, North Dakota State).

Seminars then followed in numerous churches of differing denomination. Two Staley Lectures series were given-- one at North Eastern Bible College in 1981, and the other at Trinity Western College in British Columbia in 1982.

An opportunity to broadcast daily radio programs on three stations for 15 weeks occurred early in 1981, followed by weekend broadcasts for several months thereafter. These radio broadcasts launched our cassette tape lecture series which has now grown to beyond 100 lectures.

Work also began in a joint effort with Trans World Radio to have the radio broadcasts translated into 25 languages for transmission into communist countries to reach professional and intellectual minds.

In January 1982 the demand for taped lectures substantially increased due to a television interview on the 700 Club. Inquiries were received from virtually every State of the Union. Thereafter, Canada, Brazil, India, Australia, Africa, Korea, Israel, Hong Kong and the Philippines were added to the list.

Early in 1982, a request was received to critique legislation pending in Washington State on the Creation/Evolution question. Other States tendered invitations to testify at legal proceedings, as well as to assist them in pretrial briefs.

The importance of our work became apparent at a national conference when pastors in attendance by the hundreds in a manor denomination forcefully expressed the need for the information we shared.

Thereafter an attempt was made to develop the material for presentation to professional groups (e.g., the Whiting, NJ Keswick Conference and the Chicago Freedom and Faith Conference) and to put the information into writing. Three booklets, "The Origin of the World", "The Origin of Life" and "The Origin of Man" were published and distributed around the world.

A contractual relationship with Word Books resulted in the publication of "Origins and Destiny" by Dr. Robert Gange. The book was published in both soft and hard cover in two editions and three print runs.

Origins and Destiny also became the first of its kind to be accepted by both the Christian and Secular worlds. The book was endorsed by the presidents of two leading seminaries, and also by Eugene Wigner, a Noble Laureate and past colleague of Albert Einstein.

A second book on Genesis Chapter One by Drs. Robert Gange and Gleason Archer is in preparation.

At present, Genesis Foundation offers cassette tapes, articles, books and booklets, home and Sunday School study series, Videos, and Seminars and Pastor Conferences.
